I knew and dated Elvis in early1964 while he was filming “Roustabout”, before he was engaged or married. I dated other stars during my three years as an actresss in Hollywood and wrote about other celebrities in my book. My chapter on Elvis is written to show my experience during a couple of months spent dating Elvis. He was a sweet, complicated, beautiful man who carried a large burden of trying to live in 2 worlds. Hollywood was a different world than where Elvis came from and considering that, I believe he handled it with class and a love for his fans.
