September 2, 1955

Due to a car accident Elvis was late for his performance at Arkansas Municipal Auditorium, Texarkana, Arkansas. It was Scotty Moore who drove the Cadillac Fleetwood into an oncoming vehicle, while he was passing a truck. The costs of the repair were $1,000. The local high school student Carl Nelson entertained the audience until Elvis showed up.

The Elvis Presley EP “Loving You Vol II” hit #18 in the U.S.

The Elvis Presley soundtrack EP “Love Me Tender” hit #22 in the U.S.

Elvis performed at the Multnomah Stadium, Portland, Oregon. In an interview before the show Elvis told the reporters: ” There’s nothing more important than love and marriage. I do think that marriage would hurt my career now, though.”

Joe Dowell’s version of Elvis’ “Wooden Heart” hit the U.S. charts.

Elvis finished his work on Double Trouble.

Elvis Presley’s album “Double Trouble” hit #34 in the U.K. The LP had a “suitable for framing” Photo of Elvis.

Elvis appeared “by popular demand” in a special 3.00 a.m. show for Labor Day His honorarium was $27,000 in addition to the regular Dinner and Midnight Vegas Shows

September 2, 1974

On his final night in Las Vegas Elvis got himself into a long and embarrassing monologue about several personal subjects. Including his relationship with Priscilla, who was in the audience with Lisa-Marie.
