Elvis had numerous jobs in his youth. Starting in June 1951, Elvis worked at the company “Precision Tool Co.”.
He worked there for three months and his job was to manage and operate a “spindle press” at the plant, which made rocket shells for the military.
Elvis earned $27.00 a week.
In this same year, 1951, Elvis passed the driver’s license exam using his uncle Travis Smith’s 1940 Buick.
On September 21, 1953, Elvis returned to the Precision Tool Company, operating a drill press for $1.55 an hour. and he continued to work there until March 19, 1954.
