Gene was Elvis’s cousin, they grew up together and had a strong friendship. In the early years, Elvis always turned to Gene as a traveling companion, accompanying him everywhere. They were inseparable. In 1962, between Elvis and Gene there was a misunderstanding and they separated, but in later years, Gene would return to Graceland, to visit Elvis.
