September 3, 1955 Elvis performs in 2 locations in Dallas , Texas 1st at Big “D” Jamboree, at the Sportatorium later at the Round-Up ClubSeptember 3, 1956 Elvis goes to Radio Recorders to complete the 3 day the session. He works from 2:00 till 8:30 p.m.
September 3, 1957 Elvis travels from Portland , Oregon to Los Angeles by train and checks into the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
September 3, 1960 Elvis purchases a black Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II.
September 3, 1973 On his closing show in Vegas Elvis arrives on stage on Lamar’s back with a toy monkey attached to his neck. He jokes around with the crowd, tossing back and forth on a bed (provided by Sonny ), while singing What Now My Love. He mentions being treated poorly by the Hotel. At the end of the show he tells the audience : ” I know we kid a lot and have fun and everything, but we really love to sing, play music and entertain people. As long as I can do that, I’ll be a happy old sonofabitch.” The Colonel is not at all pleased , by Elvis’ behavior they get into a a shouting match in the dressing room with a lot of members of the group present . Later that night Elvis fires the Colonel, but the Colonel has already quit . He wants all the money Elvis owes him and goes to his suite to draw up the bill.
September 3, 1974 Elvis and Sheila Ryan attend Tom Jones’ show at Caesars Palace .
