Imagine that you work in a snack bar during the fifties. Then, suddenly, young star Elvis Presley walks through the door, eager to eat his breakfast. Wouldn’t that be awesome? That’s what happened to Aline Clovis Landrum! On the morning of September 12th, 1957, Elvis arrived in a black Cadillac at the Little Shamrock Cafe in Cleveland. They had just played a show in Houston and were on their way north. Aline was working as a waitress that morning, and had the honor of serving breakfast for Elvis and his band. He ate eggs with bacon, cheese, pancakes, chocolate cake, and drank coffee and Pepsi Cola. For years, Aline kept the photo taken that day as proof of that moment
