Elvis reaching out to the audience live on stage at The International Hotel in Las Vegas, August 1970

This is the inedited and uncropped version of this shot. It is nice to see the audience and a part of the Showroom Internationale. This was the only engagement during wich Elvis got to walk through the audience to greet his fans. He shook hands, kissed some (female) fans and waved to the ones up in the balcony. After that security got tighter and tighter…. was it because of the deaththreats or because of the fact that Parker and the guys didn’t want to loose their grip on Elvis? In August 1970 Elvis was still somewhat free to walk about and to be his own person but after that the guys and Parker lived his life for him. I agree that Elvis could have stopped that but he didn’t.
