Elvis live on stage in Greensboro, April 14 1972… Elvis is wearing his “Royal Blue Fireworks Suit” aka “Owl Suit”, maybe one his more elaborate jumpsuits from that year. In the past we had many discussions about the color of the suit but to make a long story short… It was blue! Elvis looked quite different in the concerts that were filmed for the “On Tour” rockumentary. In some concerts he looked amazing but in Hampton Roads he looked quite pale for one reason or another. He probably was quite exhausted because of the grueling tourschedule. I can imagine that during a tour Elvis didn’t get much rest. The King did two concerts a day and after the concerts he went up to his suite to sing gospels with the guys and the band! After a concerts Elvis was so wound up that he couldn’t sleep.
