As the news spread of Elvis Presley’s death from hear attack at age 42, fans from all over the United States began the trek to Tennessee to farewell the Kink of Rock. The funeral was private. Only family and close friends. But the crowds whe idolised him for 20 years were there to grieve and give him a last spectacular send-off.
Modest about his singing. Elvis always tried to give audiences a good show.
Hundreds of grief stricken mourners collapsed and were treated on the lawns of the Presley mansion.
