“If I Can Dream” is one of Elvis’ very special songs. The fact that he used it to close his ’68 Comeback Special” meant he wanted it to be a focus point….and the conviction with which he sang it showed his heart was in it and that every word meant something to him. It certainly is one of his signature songs. I don’t know the reason why YouTube scourged the exact rendition of this song, that Elvis’ closed his special with, from its selections but I wish they would put it back….along with his “thank you” & “good night”.
