1957

Elvis left for Chicago with Gene Smith and Arthur Hooton.

1959

Elvis celebrated the halfway mark of his army stint with an “Over the Hump” party.

1961

Principal photography for Blue Hawaii began on location in Hawaii and continued for 3 weeks.

The lady in the picture was put in charge to bring Elvis his meals and what ever he needed. On the last day he was there he wanted to pay her and she told him that she couldn’t take the money so he kissed her on the cheek and sang “Amazing Grace” to her.

1962

Elvis was examined by the studio doctor in the morning for cast insurance.
Afterwards Elvis worked on the soundtrack at Radio Recorders from 1.00 p.m. to 12.30 a.m.

1969

In preparation for his upcoming Las Vegas engagement Elvis began to think about material.
Because of the absence of Red West, Elvis started to work with Charlie Hodge on plans for the show.
Today Joe Esposito purchased a new tape recorder, speakers and other audio equipment,
as well as a drum set for ongoing musical experimentation.

1970

Elvis flew back to Los Angeles and spent the next weeks traveling back and forth between there, Palm Springs and Las Vegas, never spending more than a few days in any location.

1972

Although Elvis had been rehearsing for his Vegas opening at RCA studio since 1969,
he had not recorded there since April 1960. This would also be the first time that Elvis worked with J.D. Sumner and the Stamps and with his live band. All were there except for Jerry Scheff, who was replaced by Emory Gordy. The sessions began at 7.00 p.m. and ended in the early morning hours. Elvis focused on bittersweet songs of loss and regret like “Where Do I Go From Here”, “For The Good Times” and “Separate Ways”, which was written for and about him.

1975

Elvis performed at the Showroom, Las Vegas, Hilton, Las Vegas.

1976

Elvis took his 3-wheeled Supercycle for a spin on the Graceland grounds with Linda.

1977

Elvis performed at the Taylor County Coliseum, Abilene, Texas, and some songs were recorded by Felton Jarvis. Elvis performed at 8:30 PM and the crowd was 7500. Elvis wore the Mexican sundial suit with the original belt.
