On January 16, 1971, Elvis was named one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Men of America (One Of The Ten Outstanding Men Of The Year)” by Jaycees (US Junior Chamber of Commerce). Elvis was particularly proud of this award.

The Triple Crown Award was presented by Billboard Magazine to artists whose single sales top the magazine’s sales charts (Pop, Country and Rhythm And Blues) in several categories. Elvis Presley received this award three times in the same year.
