“Change of Habit” is a 1969 musical drama film starring Elvis Presley, Mary Tyler Moore, and Barbara McNair. It was directed by William A. Graham and marked Presley’s 31st and final acting role in a feature film.
In “Change of Habit,” Elvis plays Dr. John Carpenter, a dedicated young doctor working in an urban clinic in a low-income area. Mary Tyler Moore portrays Sister Michelle Gallagher, a nun with a strong desire to help her community. When Sister Michelle and her fellow nuns join the clinic as medical aides, they face challenges and prejudices due to their unconventional roles.
