Legendary singer Elvis Presley, who died of heart failure, recently came to the agenda with his strange eating habits. The ex-wife of the legendary name told for the first time about the food that Presley could not even stand the smell of and his interesting eating habits.
US rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, who died in 1977, was known for his fondness for peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Archivist Angie Marchese told us about Presley’s other culinary obsessions.
Marchese stated that the star, who was born in the southern US state of Mississippi and continued his life in Memphis, was very fond of southern cuisine and said, “He was a person of habit. If it was a southern dish, he would definitely love it.”
“SHE WOULD EAT ANYTHING BUT…”
According to the news quoted by Independent Turkish, Marchese explained the food that Presley could not even stand the smell of:
“He ate everything, but never fish. He couldn’t even stand the smell of cooking fish at home. There was never any fish in the house.”
FOR 6 MONTHS HE ATE ONLY THIS
Marchese said that they also talked to Presley’s ex-wife Priscilla Presley about the star’s culinary habits:
“Elvis loved meatloaf and mashed potatoes. At one point, he ate nothing but that for six months.”
Marchese added that Presley was occasionally obsessed with certain foods and would eat the same thing over and over until he got sick of it.
Speaking to the British newspaper Express, the archivist said Presley also loved to eat bacon and mustard sandwiches, fried peanut butter, hamburger steak and peas.
Elvis Presley, known as the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll or simply King, died in 1977 at the age of 42.
