20th March 1978, a white Flowering Dogwood Tree was planted upon the grounds of Graceland by myself and ELVIS IS KING Fan Club in memory and commemoration of ELVIS, and on behalf of his fans across the world. ELVIS’ father, VERNON PRESLEY, gave his blessing and helped in making this a possibility and it was dedicated to be a reflective symbol of our love that would flourish and grow as the years passed by. Now, four and a half decades later as Springtime comes to Graceland, it is poignantly inspiring to know how wonderfully the tree has grown and gone from strength to strength, mirroring exactly what I hoped it would all those years ago. Here in celebration of this significant milestone occasion is a selection of press cuttings from when the tree was planted, a diagram from the Nursery and Mr.Presley showing exactly where the tree is located and a recent photograph of the Dogwoods blooming at Graceland. “
