Plot: Tulsa McLean (Elvis Presley) and two other members of the US Army stationed in Germany form a band in their free time and hope to be able to open a small nightclub in their homeland with the money they have saved after they are released. Through a bet involving three hundred dollars for the three musicians, Tulsa meets seemingly cool cabaret dancer Lili (Juliet Prowse) and eventually wins their love. A scandal erupts after the dancer finds out about the bet, but reconciliation follows with a red-white-blue finale.

The first post-Army film to promptly reference Elvis thematically, introducing an Elvis whose modified haircut and new songs revealed that he had gone through Army school (and his manager Tom Parker’s) and was no longer the same, who was dressed in khaki in 1958.
