GRACELAND – “BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND……”

Some incredibly rare and seldom seen photographs taken many years ago at GRACELAND. In 1966 ELVIS was recorded singing BLOWIN’ IN THE WIND. It was many years after his passing that the recording would surface. Hearing his voice singing the opening line of this song whilst looking at these pictures of long ago is especially poignant and haunting today. “HOW MANY ROADS MUST A MAN WALK DOWN”. Not only are there photographs of the gates (before the White and Green remodelling), Highway 51 South (which became ELVIS Presley Boulevard) there are photographs of an Un – identified lady standing beside the swimming pool, and in Meditation Garden BEFORE the arched wall was built or the sunken everlasting fountain was laid, and long before ELVIS’ passing. These images of this cherished place have certainly BLOWN INTO THE WINDS of time. With my deepest thanks to Ashley Drew/David Rixson for allowing me to share these gems with you all.
