Not only was Kurt Russell physically a dead ringer for Elvis Presley in the made-for-TV movie Elvis (above left), but he could also perfectly emulate the performer’s unique speech and stage presence. Possibly because he played a small role in the 1963 movie It Happened at the World’s Fair, as a boy who kicks Elvis’ character (above right). Russell earned a Golden Globe nomination in 1979 for what many consider to be his breakout role as an adult. He later went on to provide Elvis’ distinct voice for the hit motion picture Forrest Gump.
