One of Elvis’ favorite colors were pink. He frequently wore pink shirts and colored his first Cadillac that he bought for his mother Gladys pink. This was considered abnormal for the 1950’s however Elvis liked flashy clothing and even during high school would wear “abnormal” clothes like high collars or bright colored shirts and pants. He used to go to ‘Lansky Brothers Clothing’ often before fame but couldn’t afford too many things from there. He once told the manager there when he “blows up” he’s going to come back and buy out the whole store. Something he did shortly after the success of Heartbreak Hotel
