Starring: Barbara Eden, Dolores Del Rio, Steve Forrest and John McIntire
Directed by Don Siegel

Plot: Elvis plays the half-blood Pacer, the son of a Kiowa mother and a white settler who finds himself in the middle of the conflict between the whites and the Indians. Both of his parents are killed in the course of these clashes. Pacer is torn between the fronts until badly wounded and near-dead, he rides into the mountains to meet the Kiowas’ “flaming Death Star”. A very serious film in which Marlon Brando was to be the first to star. The criticism was full of praise, but the financial success that was so important for Manager Parker – already familiar – did not materialize.
