I was in Vegas at the weekend and went to the hotel. All my security guard ‘friends’ remember me darn! They say security will be even tighter this time (if that’s possible), but that Elvis says to let a few fans through once in a while ‘Cause he doesn’t want them kept away from him. The guard was saying how he couldn’t get over how much Elvis digs his fans which sure made me feel great. Also, he said that for Tom Jones they didn’t even have to post a guard outside the dressing room door. I was inwardly a little smug about that, I must admit. We all know how many they have to use for our Elvis.
I don’t have my dress for Opening night yet, so don’t know for sure if it will be long or short. Boy, expect true hotness in Vegas. It was 115 degrees this weekend and I was weak from the heat. I heard part of a tape from rehearsal and two of the new songs are ‘Mary In The Morning’ and ‘You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me’ (or is that one called ‘Believe Me’?). I also heard ‘Walk A Mile In My Shoes’ and Can’t Stop Loving You.’ They are GREAT! Next time I’ll tell you all about the Opening!
