Elvis Presley attended a Nancy Sinatra show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 6, 1970.
Elvis in those days was preparing his new season at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, which would begin on August 10 and whose shows and rehearsals had, and were going to continue to be recorded, for the making of the documentary film “That’s The Way It is.
Elvis, whenever he could, used to attend the shows of other singers and friends who were also doing their seasons of performances in Las Vegas.
Elvis and Nancy were friends for a long time. Nancy, already in 1960, went to wait for him at the airport when Elvis arrived at Fort Dix, on March 3, 1960, when Elvis returned home after his service in the army.
Keen to follow in her father’s footsteps, Nancy began her career in 1960, debuting on her father’s show, “The Frank Sinatra Timex Show.” Here she worked alongside her father and Elvis in March 1960 in the episode dedicated to celebrating Elvis’ return from the army: “Welcome Home Elvis”.
Later, the singer also worked with Elvis in the 1968 film Speedway.
In an interview for the ” Daily Mail “(United Kingdom), Nancy Sinatra was asked who would be the man of her dreams, to have a date with him for dinner.
She replied: ”Elvis!. He always made me laugh. He was attentive, funny and a lovely guy to be with. When we made our movie Speedway in 1968, he had a tandem bike made for the two of us. He’d say, ”Nancy, let’s go for a ride,” and then we’d head out, and within seconds all the Elvis fans were on us, and we’d only been on the bike for a few minutes! But it was funny. Elvis loved life. He loved to laugh.”
Elvis and Nancy were good friends and used to meet in Las Vegas, when they both performed their Shows there and used to attend to see each other at their respective shows.
