Double Trouble is a musical film by Norman Taurog (director), with Elvis Presley and Annette Day, from 1967. The Elvis Presley film was produced by Judd Bernard and has a running time of 92 minutes.
The shooting started on June 11th, 1966 and lasted until the beginning of September 1966.
“You’re Killing Me” was used as the working title for Double Trouble.
Filming took place at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, 10202 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City, California. A team traveled to Europe to shoot in Belgium and England. Since Elvis manager Colonel Parker immigrated illegally to the USA, he could not leave the United States and so Elvis stayed in Hollywood and did not take the chance to travel to Europe.
Because of the language, a few English actors were hired to create the illusion that the scene was playing in London.
The then 17-year-old Annette Day made her acting debut in Double Trouble. It remained her first and only film. Elvis took great care of Annette to take away her fear and shyness in front of the camera.
