While filming, actor Lee Majors visited Elvis on the set of Clambake. Majors gained notoriety primarily for his roles as “6 Million Dollar Man” and “A Colt Just For Any Occasion”.
Shortly before filming began, Elvis was worried because he was quite overweight. It was clear to him that he was fed up with making his forever identical films.
When Elvis fell in his bathroom and suffered a concussion, the shooting had to be postponed for 2 weeks.

Jack Good, who plays the role of receptionist Hathaway in the film, was an important film producer and music manager in England in the 1950s and 1960s. He managed stars like Tommy Steele, Marty Wilde and Billy Fury.
