Elvis visited here in 1973 Ed Parker’s Dojo

“When Ed and Elvis were once in So. California (probably in the very early 70’s). It was very early in the morning and they had several hours of completely free time. It was around 5:30am-ish and Elvis was kinda bored. Ed suggested they drop by his son, Edmund’s, seminary class in South Pasadena that probably started around 6:00 am. So they did! Imagine sitting in an LDS seminary class at that time of the morning and having Elvis Presley walk in unannounced and surprise everyone!!! Wow!!! The story goes that Elvis loved hearing the seminary lesson. Wish I knew what they studied that day.” -Janine Taysom

All boarded up, but glad the sign’s still up, and can briefly see “Parker” on it! Looking back, can definitely imagine him on the streets.

*and more random info, 7 mins away is the high school filmed for CoH, and Elvis always introduced Ed at his shows, gave him his cape during the show, then belt after. Posing with it at his Pasadena home in the last pic. Ed Parker died in ‘90.
