At the private, low key proposal in their home, Elvis presented Priscilla with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring purchased from Harry Levitch, a jeweler in the Memphis area. The ring featured an impressive 3.5-carat diamond surrounded by a halo of 20 smaller, detachable diamonds!Shortly after the engagement, Elvis and Priscilla were married in the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas in front of their closest family and friends. Because of the singer’s incredible fame, they kept the entire event a secret and were forced to sneak around to avoid the public and the press. The couple flew in to Vegas on Frank Sinatra’s private jet, which he reportedly lent to Elvis for the occasion! The intimate ceremony and champagne breakfast reception were surprisingly simple with only 100 people in attendance.
