Elvis Presley and Kathy Westmoreland

Kathy was the soprano who accompanied Elvis at his concerts from 1970-1977. She took the place of Millie Kirkham, who was no longer able to tour with Elvis for personal reasons.Elvis always introduced Kathy to audiences as “the beautiful little girl with the high voice”. During those seven years, they had a sort of “on-off” relationship, as described in her autobiography, “Elvis and Kathy.” Elvis gave Westmoreland several cars and other items as gifts. She sang “My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me” at Elvis’ funeral. In 1978 she appeared on the Broadway show “The Legend Lives” and in 1979 she sang on the soundtrack for the TV movie “Elvis”.
