1955

Elvis performed in “Curtis Gordon’s Radio Ranch” Mobile, Alabama

1956

Elvis and his party took a chartered plane to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they caught a
Delta flight to New York City, where Elvis was fitted for a tux, for the rehearsal for the
Steve Allen Show. After that Elvis took a train to Richmond.

1960

Elvis was released by the studio and flew to St. Louis with Gene Smith.
There he rented a car and drove back to Memphis.

1966

After a 7.00 p.m. cast insurance medical exam, Elvis resumed soundtrack recording at the MGM
recording stage till 3.00 a.m.

1968

Rehearsals started at 9.00 a.m. Then at 6.90 and 8.00 p.m. Elvis taped the two stand-up
segments, this time not only in front of a live audience but with a full orchestra,
conducted by Billy Goldenberg

1973

Elvis performed at the Omni in Atlanta, Georgia at 8:30 p.m. The crowd was 17143 and Elvis wore
“Orange sunburst” suit with original belt and orange cape.

1974

Elvis performed at the Municipal Auditorium, Kansas City, Missouri at 2:30 and 8.30 p.m.
Both times the crowd was 10400 and at 2:30 p.m. Elvis wore the Egyptian suit with original belt.
At 8:30 Elvis wore “1974 American eagle” with original belt. Note how happy and healthy Elvis
look this evening 🙂

1975

Elvis had surgery on his foot in Memphis.
1976

Elvis performed at the Coliseum, Richmond, Virginia at 8:30 p.m. The crowd was 11900 and Elvis
wore the “White Egyptian bird” suit with “Inca gold leaf” suit belt.

  1. I am so happy you shared this. I have been a Elvis fan since I was 12 years old. I am now 73, and love him even more if that is possible.
