Elvis Presley and Muhammad Ali (Photos of Legends)

Elvis Presley and Muhammad Ali were two of the most iconic and influential figures of the 20th century, each achieving legendary status in their respective fields. Their paths crossed in a unique and memorable way, leading to a lasting friendship that left an indelible mark on both of their lives. Here’s a closer look at the relationship between Elvis Presley and Muhammad Ali:

Meeting and Friendship: Elvis and Ali first met in 1970 when Ali was training in Las Vegas for his upcoming fight against Jerry Quarry. At the time, Ali was facing controversy and backlash due to his refusal to be drafted into the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. Elvis, a longtime fan of boxing, admired Ali’s skills and his stance against the war.

During their meeting, Elvis presented Ali with a gift—a custom-made robe adorned with a depiction of both men and the phrase “People’s Choice.” This gift symbolized Elvis’ support for Ali and his view that Ali truly was the people’s choice. The two instantly connected, bonding over their shared celebrity status and their mutual interests.

    • Simply put there was no one better,,, be it by accident or planned. If he was given a task he would not only do it but do it like no one else could. With talent and a style that was to be imitated from the first time he performed. Elvis was also lucky to be there at a time when he was needed and we were all lucky to have benefited.

Elvis’ acknowledged many times with grace and un-dying devotion and love that Our Lord is The One and Only King.
