When Elvis was in Germany , Army

“It was not until August 1959 that I met Elvis for the second time. I was with my girlfriend – who also had a camera with her on the occasion – on the way to Elvis’ house on Goethestrasse 14. When I got there I saw his white BMW 507. I don’t know what got into me but I thought I’d see if I could open the car’s door, it actually did open …

My thought was: “Maybe Elvis sees that in the house, is afraid for his car and comes out.

And in fact, shortly afterwards – whether coincidentally or not, I don’t know – Elvis came out of the house. He wasn’t wearing any shoes, only socks! We then found out that he was going to play football with friends.

My girlfriend and I followed him to a meadow near Goethestrasse.

We then watched Elvis play for about 1 1/2 hours. Elvis then came and sat down with us on the meadow. On that occasion he clasped my stomach with both his legs so tightly that I couldn’t breathe anymore.

I pushed Elvis away with both hands. Elvis then had to laugh. On this occasion, however, Ingrid Tesch experienced Elvis in a completely different way.

Elvis, who, as Frau Tesch told me, was forbidden to sing in public, suddenly started singing on the meadow. Elvis softly sang the song “Love Me Tender” to himself. He was very depressed because a year ago his beloved mother died.
