Charlie Hodge was one of Elvis Presley’s best friends who was with him till the very end. Charlie met Elvis in the army and made a huge impact on Elvis especially on the ship ride to Germany. When Elvis would sleep walk and have nightmares on the ship Charlie would help him back to bed and even sit up with him at times. This obviously made a huge impact on Elvis and Elvis would hire Charlie after they got out of the army. Charlie would work for Elvis from 1960 till his death in 1977 even being one of Elvis’s closest friends in the last couple years of his life.
