Plot: Elvis plays a former outlaw, Jess Wade, who is framed for robbing a gold and silver cannon belonging to the Mexican army by a gang he used to ride with. Dubbed “Charro,” Jess rids himself of suspicion, saves a village from a gang of gangsters, and eventually defeats his one-time cronies.

This film was advertised with the slogan “A very different man… a very different role”. Here the viewer experiences an unwashed, bearded, hardened Elvis – in the manner of the Italian westerns that were successful at the time.
