10 Worst Elvis Presley Songs

While Elvis Presley is celebrated for his many iconic hits, there were a few tracks that have been less favorably received by critics and fans alike. Songs like “Do the Clam” and “Dominic” are often cited as examples of Elvis’s more forgettable moments, as they deviated from his signature style and ventured into more novelty territory. “Old MacDonald” is another track that some listeners find less impressive, with its playful tone straying from the emotional resonance commonly associated with Elvis’s music.

  1. I’m in almost total agreement with the list. I do like Girl Happy AND giving a little thought to bad records, I think I could come up with a few more

  2. Hilarious list! “Ito Eats” – no wonder why he wanted to get back to performing live and get away from the Hollywood garbage songs!

  3. Elvis made many great records in the 1950’s and early 1960’s. However, by 1963.the quality of his records began to nosedive and with the British pop group invasion, many of the songs included in his movies were frankly average to awful. Elvis had a unique voice and a distinctive style which changed the face of popular music in the 1950’s but but by the mid 1960’s with a string of mediocre films and recordings, younger members of the record buying public had moved away to listening to other more exciting music. Elvis however, did make a remarkable TV comeback special in the late 1960’s but his renaissance was all too brief as a treadmill of live concerts eventually exhausted him, leaving him to retain his iconic status, but to a sharply declining teenage audience.
